"High Energy" Juice Recipe

Here is a recipe that has helped with my hemoglobin levels throughout time along with a balanced diet. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Note: If you are experiencing lose bowel movements or digestive tract irritation, you can avoid ginger and turmeric.

Ingredients (serves 4-6 people)

1 packet of carrots- peeled and cut into pieces

4 medium beets- peeled and cut into pieces

3 medium oranges- no skin, no seeds

3 sticks of celery- diced

¼ inch of ginger

¼ inch of turmeric

½ inch of aloe vera

1 cup of water


1. Rinse and cut all ingredients.

2. Combine all ingredients into the juicer, except for the water, ginger and turmeric. Blend until all juice is out.

3. Blend ginger and turmeric separately.

4. Mix both juices and serve! Enjoy!

Health benefits:

Beets- Beet root is an excellent source of folic acid and a very good source of fiber, manganese and potassium (Murray 2005). Beets support the liver by helping with its detoxification. The beet greens are also high in nutrition as it is rich in calcium, iron, and vitamins A and C. Beets are a good support for anemic clients and those whose energy is somewhat low.

Ginger-It is regarded as an excellent carminative, which is a substance that promotes the elimination of intestinal gas, and intestinal spasmolytic, relaxes and soothes the intestinal tract. It also has antioxidant effects and it has the ability to inhibit the formation of inflammatory compounds (Murray 2005).

Turmeric- Curcumin, which the yellow pigment of turmeric, has demonstrated to have significant anti-inflammatory activity. It has also shown powerful antioxidant effects. (Murray 2005).

Aloe vera- Because of its anti-inflammatory and laxative components, another aloe vera benefit is its ability to help with digestion. Aloe vera juice helps digestion, normalizes acid/alkaline and pH balance, lessens yeast formation, encourages digestive bacteria and regularizes bowel processing. (Axe 2018).
